Peter Obi  and his mediocre goons including cerebraly challenged Valentine Obieynem have miscalculated again , just like the cretin Obienyem did when accounting for his whereabouts during the N250M heist, he first said he was in Enugu,  then Abuja whereas he was under police detention in Lagos for money laundering. Now  Obi initially confessed that he spent five hours in the Uke Adoration venue that is saying he  at  3 am, bad mathematics to exonerate him , but he has since made various differing statements in subsequent statements, An investigation will prove this wrong? The most pertinent question of investigation is WHEN DID OBI ARRIVE THE ADORATION GROUNDS? 

There are clues that cannot be ignored in the November 05 feature report Obi had every reason to kill the news and  stop Anambra State from reading.

Governor Peter Obi and his aides have rallied round to mop up all copies of Nigerian National Daily Newspaper –Thisday of today November 05, 2013.  And trust Anambra State and the whiff of business opportunities vendors are creating scarcity out and harvesting good money out of the paper which has gone very scarce in Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi, major urban

 But the government in Awka insists on paying. Already about 2.5 million has been spent on newspapers today alone with the news spreading fast and supplies of Thisday being reinforced from Benin,Orlu and Enugu.

A coalition of civil rights organizations in the country is mounting pressure on the Lagos State government to initiate an investigation into the 255m naira intercepted by the police on Sunday, May 31, 2009, in the office of Next International, the private firm of Anambra State governor Peter Obi located at 7, Aerodrome Road, Apapa in Lagos.

In a statement today in Abuja, the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which come under the umbrella of Transparency In Government Coalition, advised Lagos State to investigate the interception of “this huge sum with a view to prosecuting the governor from next March when he leaves office if he is found culpable.”

 The group disclosed that it wants the outgoing governor investigated so as “to stop the terrible practice of governors stealing their states blind and investing their loots in places other their own and consequently under-developing their states”, accusing Mr Obi of having just completed building the largest shopping mall in Abuja worth over three billion naira.

The coalition explained its reason for calling on Lagos to look into the matter, rather than wait for the police and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to do so.

“Public confidence in the two anti-graft  institutions has been declining rapidly on account of the lethargic manner they have in recent times been going about their business”, it declared in the statement signed by the president of the coalition, Comrade Joseph Ifedinobi, and the secretary, Barrister Jeremiah Tumba, as well as the publicity secretary, Tunde Oladimeji.

“The offence was committed within the Lagos territory, so it is, in our view, within the legal and moral competence of the Lagos State government o investigate and prosecute the case, just as the state government has been prosecuting Major Hamza El Mustapha, General Sani Abacha’s  chief security officer, for the murder of Mrs Kudirat Abiola, wife of Chief Moshood Abiola who won the June 12, 1993, presidential election, the group stated”.

It observed that if it had not been the practice of state governments in Nigeria since the restoration of democratic rule in 1999 to prosecute corruption cases, the Lagos state government could set the precedent  “in the overriding interest of the Nigerian people who have been the victims of the rapacity of their rulers”.

Outgoing governor Obi was fingered in the media immediately a sport utility vehicle (SUV) belonging to Government House, Awka, was arrested with the money in the premises of Next International by police who were acting on a tipoff by a policeman attached to the governor.

“All circumstantial evidence suggests that His Excellency was behind the money which was part of the state’s security vote of N300million for the month of May, 2009”, argued the group which recalled that once the news of the arrest broke out the governor hurriedly flew by Dana Airline to Lagos to personally cover up the story, thus cancelling his official trip to Abuja.

Besides, noted the activists, the governor’s closest personal aides quickly went into a frenzy of spins to cajole Anambrarians in particular and the Nigerian people in general but ended up with contradictory versions of the story accounts.

“”One of the accounts denied that Mr Obi went to Lagos and held an emergency with journalists, but when confronted with strong evidence of the hurried trip, the story was changed to read that the money belonged to a person who ‘hitched hiked into His Excellency’s three-man convoy’.

“The spin doctors now hit upon another idea: that the raw cash belonged to one Ejike Onwusogbulu who won a contract to supply vehicles to local governments and security agencies in the state.

“But the Commissioner for Transport, Emeka Ojukwu Jr, was to deny any knowledge of the transaction and immediately resigned from the cabinet to protect his family’s name.

“The spin doctors, as expected, refused to disclose that Mr Onwusogbolu, the fall guy, is the brother in law of Ndibe Obi, the governor’s younger brother and the manager of his Next International business”.

The coalition threatened “to sue the Lagos State government for grievous dereliction of duty if it fails to investigate within two weeks the grave offence committed within its territory by its Anambra State counterpart ”.

Obi's Deputy Governor is never seen, never heard, and remain so invisible that any sane person would be right to think that such an office and office holder never exist in Anambra state? Well, that the luckless Mr. Sibudu exists in flesh and blood is a fact; that he was actually sworn into office is another fact of life and history. But has he ever functioned in any way? Why has he remained so unknown that when I asked ten randomly chosen educated  persons in Akwa, the Anambra state capital his name, none of the adult government workers could remember it. A few just recalled that he is Sibudu, but his first name was beyond their recollective capabilities .  But then, how does a public know or remember the name of a man who is never mentioned in the news media?  Now, an election to succeed Gov Obi is on and his long-suffering Deputy-Governor has never been mentioned in any such analysis – no matter how hare-brained.

Governments everywhere, yes everywhere, worry about the level of unemployment.  Of course, the devise, contrivance or contraption under which Governor Peter Obi  has been running roughshod over Anambra state may actually not qualify to be termed as a government – because it never bothered about what genuine governments fret about.  But to be fair, it has to be

agreed upon early enough in this essay that Obi, in many instances, has been one of a kind.

Leaving aside sibudu and returning to the unemployment transgression at hand, Obi appears to have been totally cocooned in a world of his own – where the level of unemployment in Anambra state never mattered. The result is that the indisputable unemployment rate of over 20 percent has never worried him. If that unfailing indicator and manifestation of failed governance has ever disturbed the conscience of Governor Peter Obi, he would have at least done what requires no effort at all; fill up the yawning vacancies.

Vacancies, sad to say, abound in the primary and secondary school systems of Anambra state.  All it needs is the prompting of a large social conscience to fill them. But social consciences do not come that easily to men who are devil’s bankers; stacking money in a certain bank’s vault - even if the work force is inadequate, the education sector in tartars and able-bodied men and women out of job and totally impoverished. This of course has a telling result; kidnapping and sundry heart-rending crimes. Please mark that I have not stressed that Anambra is yet to pay its workers the minimum wage of N18, 000 monthly. So as Obi is one of a kind among Governors, Anambra  is one of a kind in terms of impoverished workforce.

Yet, why would a sane person, let alone one who is an efficient and remorseless “I-love-the-church-and-God” boaster fail to provide needed jobs for an impoverished populace?  The answer was thought to be an ideological stance stolen from a damaged,  deranged and totally discarded IMF school of Economics which in the 1980s rated the amount of money in a state’s accounts more important than the citizens’ welfare; now the world has been given a totally different answer – one only a sordid, ruthless, callous, ash-cold and totally indifferent mind could have dreamed up; impoverish the people, destroy  the educational sector and then, when all is late and the allotted tenure has all but run out, dehumanize the people the more by making them scramble for the very funds they should have legitimately earned – spruced up as car-shower to ill-maintained schools.

That was how Governor Obi hit on the idea of, during this “injury time” in an eight-year match he was supposed to play on behalf of Anambra state, the eight years in which he refused to fill up the yawning vacancies in the educational sector, or even repair the schools, he has unleashed a car rain on the mission schools – and he is, inappropriately of course, receiving unearned accolades for the very products of his meanness and savage cruelty – as an untold number of fully qualified persons were denied gainful employment just so that some megalomaniac would draw attention to himself and political party as do-gooders.

Now, the funds that have been said to be sitting in Fidelity Bank vaults as savings for the state have emerged to fund stupefying electioneering profligacy.
Yet, is this the kind of continuity that Anambrarians should vote in “Willie the boy” as Governor for? Many have argued that nothing is intrinsically wrong with making a gift of any number of cars to schools, flung whimsically here and there by an out-going Governor to aid the electoral fortunes of his handpicked “boy”, who is also like him, emerging from the same Fidelity Bank.

This point is pertinent because the late great Anambrarian who until the bitter end wailed for good governance, Prof Chinua Achebe, wrote in the preface to his first book of essays: Morning Yet On Creation Day” that “experience is not just what happened because much can happen to a stone without making the stone any wiser”. To Achebe, “experience is the lesson learnt from an event”. If we could but only remember that no Governor should spend unbudgeted monies in purchasing hundreds of vehicles for any given public  - most capriciously – only then shall we realize that a vote for APGA  continuity  for Wilie Boy Obiano to succeed his unscrupulous (in budget matters at least) master St. Obi, would be a vote for unbudgetary profligacy. And you don’t need an Achebe to lecture you that such would be an affront on wisdom – which for the wise is supposed to be informed by experience! And the Gov. Obi experience – no, it is a mistake of Anambra voters –for anyone to operate without Deputy Governor, sans State House of Assembly and minus budgetary allocations but become an under-achieving  dictator - should not be repeated!

THE HISTORY OF THE LAND IN KADO OWNED BY GOV PETER OBI , NEXT LTD, AND NDIBE OBI September 08, 2008 11:17am Report from an official of Abuja Geographic Information System : By Blessing Ogunli Back in 2003, Dr. Jimoh Obatoyinbo, an estate developer, bought two plots of land measuring 4,000 and 4,300 square metres respectively, in 2003, from one Alhaji Aminu Gaya . The plots were allocated to Jamillaville Limited and Gyano International Limited respectively. One of the plots was designated as a petrol station, while the other was for commercial development. But to his surprise in 2007, Obatoyinbo discovered that the plots had been occupied and were being developed at the instance of a company, Next International Limited, owned by one Ndibe Obi. Obatoyinbo informed the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA, of the development. This drew a stop work order and a notice of demolition, issued by the FCDA. But these were ignored by the Next International Limited. Obatoyinbo then took his case to the Police. In a petition dated 25 July 2008, Obatoyinbo alleged that the developers connived with some staff of the Abuja Geographic Information Systems, AGIS, led by one Emeka Elobi, a Deputy Director of Survey, to rob him of his property. Obatoyinbo claimed that when he challenged the illegal occupancy in court, Next International Limited produced documents showing it had been allocated Plot Sector Centre 2, with a size of 13,000 square metres, but went ahead to occupy the whole sector that was subdivided among seven allottees, measuring 33,370,053 square metres. According to documents obtained from the Police, the plot allocated to Next International measures 13,00 square metres, but the company had occupied 33,370.53 square metres. Obatoyinbo alleged that the document was forged in connivance with staff of the Abuja Geographic Information Systems, AGIS, and FCDA. Investigation of Obatoyinbo's allegations was assigned to a Police team, led by one Assistant Superintendent of Police, Yahaya Adanebi of the Special Fraud Unit, SFU. The Police invited the claimants to the property as well as Elobi and Gaya . Next International, however, failed to honour Police invitation. According to Police investigations, documents presented to the court, by Next International, were forged. In his testimony to the Police, Elobi explained that as acting director of Survey, he does not allocate plots and might not be able to state if the subdivided plot 2 has been revoked or not. He claimed that his duty is to oversee all survey works in AGIS, which include the signing of site plans and title deeds which are mostly generated by consultants. However, Gaya stated that he had been asking Elobi to issue the necessary data to enable him get the certificate for the said plot, but Elobi did not make such available. Gaya explained that he was shocked to see the data with all coordinates and benchmarks merging all four plots into one with Elobi's signature on it in custody. He claimed that he was surprised to see with the police the data he has been asking Elobi to release to him for over one year to no avail. He also said that he observed from the document he found with the police, the allocation given to Next International Limited, dated 30 September 2007, measures about 13,000 square metres, could be for plot D and not the whole 33,000 square metres as sketched in the site plan which Next International Limited is using to lay claims to the land. They pointed out that Obi as well as other governorship candidates during the build up to the Feb 6, 2011 promised to organize council elections within 90 days of coming onto office. That Gov Chibike Amechi of Rivers state had just done that when he successfully organized council elections in his state barely six weeks after he was re-elected, and even before taking the oath of office. I do not mince word that since the death of our legend, Odimegwu Chukwuemeka Ojukwu; APGA and her leaders have been dancing away the man’s legacy, forgetting completely that what brought this tin god called Peter Obi to power is not due to the party political maestro but that singular last wish of Ojukwu that Igbos vote Peter Obi for a second term. I remember vividly going round Anambra State and the whole town was littered with billboards, with that statement credited to Ojukwu boldly written crafted on them.

Today, Peter Obi has not only become a tin god but an emperor, who in his quest for power is ready to do anything to see that APGA, a rejected party in the state vote in his godson, Willie Obaino, by hook or by crook, even if it means people dying. He has crowned it all with the murder in the Cathedral.

For God sake, what has politics got to do with a Church vigil in the dead of the night? Why must the governor honour an invitation by a priest only to turn the holy ground into a campaign arena? I stand by this that, if Governor Peter Obi and his APGA entourage had not gone to the Adoration ground that night; there would not have been stampede, and with all amount of sincerity, the broadcast by Obi is very far from the truth.

APGA in her usual manner has gone to Adoration ground on a purported invitation by the priest and he seized the opportunity to admonish the people. In a normal setting, Obi ought to have asked the people to pray for a successful election where there would be no bloodshed as well as crisis, but no he didn’t. Rather he went sermonizing on why Willie Obaino should be elected by the over 100,000 worshippers, who began to detest his ‘preaching’ and started to scream ‘Onwa’, the titled name of Chris Ngige. It is this people who APGA refers to as ACN members.

Can APGA produce the videos of people waving brooms in the crowd since he claims that his speech is on video? Do APGA mean to insult our intelligence by telling the world that Ngige supporters were the ones who shouted “fire fire fire” that caused the stampede when he was alleged to have left his security details behind? Hard as it may be to accept, APGA has no reason to be in Adoration ground that day, and if Peter Obi was invited; he should have gone alone, just the way Ngige went when he was invited instead of turning a moment of holy worship to a black Saturday.

I shudder when some commentators attribute Obi’s going to Adoration ground as a sign of humility. Humility? That someone went to the house of the man who make and remove kings without any effort; a man who at the snap of his finger, Obi will join his ancestors; a man whose voice is as the sound of many rushing waters; a man who created him, and someone calls going to worship him a sign of humility. Father, forgive them for they know not what they say? Adoration ground has been there for years, yet Obi and APGA has not deem it fit to worship there, only to visit during election time in the midnight and 25 souls that would have casted their votes were lost to death. The road leading to Adoration ground has been bad for years and yet Obi could not fix it, but when he needs their votes; he comes making promises to construct the road. Obi has never made donation to Adoration ground worshippers, but when he needed their votes, he donates a paltry sum of N5 million from the loot he has acquired over the years. God cannot be mocked; neither can the Holy Spirit be bribed!

APGA has committed murder in the Cathedral and it will be a sacrilege for Anambra people to still go to the poll and thumbprint their votes for a party that could enter a church and lives are lost. It will be a disservice to the dead souls of that day that APGA should be allowed to win this November election. It will be an immortal sin that any voter will allow his votes go the way of a party whose campaign led to multiple deaths at a holy ground, but still had the moral guts to go and campaign, when they should be mourning. APGA has murdered sleep and they shall sleep no more.

A Party Chairman who signed N5.76 billion to be paid him should his puppet win will sell Anambra State. Mince no word about it; they will keep denying the document that Elombah.com revealed, but they cannot deceive the voters who know that Victor Umeh will sign more than that, were Anambra state any of the South-South States, like Akwa Ibom or Delta States. A forewarned battle do not take the cripple unaware and it is for this reason that Anambra indigenes must take this issue serious and ask Victor Umeh and other signatories to swear with their generations that they never signed such document. Anambra will be an appendage of the PDP who are mostly known for bad governance should the party coast to victory. Make no mistake about it; the current problem happening in Anambra PDP is to make way for Willie Obaino who will soon sell the party to a party whom Nigerians are already fed up and we ask; what will Ojukwu be doing in heaven watching his home party being sold away like a mess of porridge.

I want Peter Obi of APGA to deny that he is not a liar; by saying that whoever is found using his property will have his property destroyed is not a law that applied only to enemies. Can he tell the people of Anambra State that around seven or eight months ago, a kidnapped man escaped from the house he was being held in Awator, Nimo, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State. He made it to the Police & within a day or two, a long convoy of SARS operatives visited the house (everybody at Oye Nimo saw the convoy because they stopped to ask direction to Awator) & started their investigations.
It was revealed that the man was kidnapped & held in their house by two young men whose uncle (mother’s brother) is Barr. Peter Afuba, the Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice in Peter Obi’s cabinet. That house was never demolished contrary to Peter Obi’s words that any house used by kidnappers will be demolished & the two kidnappers are walking freely now. Rather, Peter Afuba & Peter Obi have gone a great length in suppressing this news among media houses. I dare APGA and the Anambra Government to deny this.

Yet Obi can roll out bulldozers to pull down a memorial hotel, Upper Class Hotel, without conducting any investigation; simply because the owner who happens to be his childhood playmate, Chief Bonaventure Mokwe has business interests that clashes with his friends. As I write, Obi has ordered the man’s continous detention in SARS, using the instrument of the Nigeria Police, who we pay with our taxes. Let the world tell Obi to release Mokwe with immediate effect.

APGA’s plan is to loot the treasury just like the case of the N255m carried by Peter Obi’s convoy some years back that was intercepted by the security operatives in Lagos. Umeh Maja, then commissioner for information called a press conference to deny the report in their usual manner. After addressing the press followed by questions from journalists, it was crystal clear that they have no cogent defence. When all the reporters have dispersed to file in their reports, Maja Umeh placed a call to Ebere Ethel Obiakor, an AIT correspondent, to come to Government House, and on getting there, Maja said , “Ethel, his Excellency said he doesn’t want that story to be used. Give me that tape” and on his right hand was an envelope containing some money which he offered to her, but the woman rejected, lying that the tape had already been sent to Abuja. Other Journalists who were there never used the story as they have all collected their brown envelopes.

The case of N255m was buried from the public domain because Peter obi requested the then Inspector General of Police to assign his brother who is also a police man and former Peter Obi’s ADC to be the IPO that will handle the case. When the saga ended, Peter Obi and Val Obienyem travelled to Lagos, where Obi sent Val to the IPO house by 12midnight for a thank you visit with N500,000. I have never believed every news coming out of Anambra State, knowing that most stories in the Newspapers are written by Val Obienyem and sent to email boxes of various media organizations. In some cases he uses the reporter’s bye-line as the originator of the story and thereafter places a call to the reporter that his name is on a particular.

This certainly are not the type of men who are fit to govern Anambra State, a home known for intellectuals and men of truth. APGA may be a party for the Igbos, but with men like Peter Obi and Victor Umeh projecting a godson whom they can manipulate; it will be in their best interest to jump ship to the Popular Ngige camp or Ifeanyi Ubah. I refuse to go with those saying the APC is a party for the Yoruba and thus Ngige is selling the Igbos. No No No! APC is not a regional party and while I may not be a card carrying member or being their fan, due to the recent high-handedness of two of their Governors; Fashola and Oshiomhole, I make bold to say that with Ngige, it’s a better offer for Anambra to allow a man who could say no to the cabal who wanted to mortgage Anambra State and instead chose to be kicked out of office.

While I mourn with the families of those whom APGA caused to stampede themselves, I urge all well meaning Anambra to jettison the voting of APGA and ask them to clear the mess in the Cathedral. We might not know it, but a time will come when the ‘had I known’ statement will come out from the lips of those who will allow Willie Obaino to sit on the throne. I make no allegations but statements back with facts and APGA can as well challenge it.
