Chief Victor Umeh of APGA Exposes Secrets in Public Domain** What has Changed Now ?

The APGA Chameleon that you should never TRUST..

Peter Obi Is Sponsoring APGA's Rebellion - Victor Umeh

The  decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to restore recognition to me as the national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) followed the ruling of the Court of Appeal in Enugu which upturned the ruling of the Enugu State High Court that sacked me as the chairman of the party. This

development, triumphs against the camp of the Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi, led by Chief Maxi Okwu. Obi engineered the crisis in the party for his selfish reasons, and peace can only return to the party if Obi leaves and allows the party to decide his successor. I gave Peter Obi his political life, and the governor is fake, deceitful, despite his claims to holiness.
We patiently waited on INEC because we wrote the Commission on the April 15, notifying it of the ruling of the Court of Appeal Enugu Division that restored my leadership as national chairman of the party.

We are happy to inform you that INEC, having read the ruling of the Court of Appeal, has come out with a letter addressed to me, Chief Victor Umeh, recognising me as the national chairman of APGA. APGA does not have a factional National Chairman. APGA does not have two national chairmen. APGA has only one national chairman, recognized by the party constitution, INEC and the courts of Nigeria.

With this decision and upholding of the rule of law, we want to say that this development has reinvigorated APGA. Those who want to do business with APGA, now know the lawful authority of APGA. Anybody who is making any pretentions anywhere in Nigeria in the name of APGA, is deluding himself, and any group of persons that are holding themselves out claiming to be representing APGA or presenting themselves as members of APGA, engaging in dissident activities in the name of APGA are guilty of anti-party activities. They should stop destabilising this party. This leadership of APGA has been very responsible to the acknowledgment of Nigerians.
We want anybody who wants to be a member of APGA or who wants to do anything with APGA to subject himself or herself to this lawful leadership of APGA. We will not continue to condone this.
APGA has never had two positions on merger. From this office, I have addressed Nigerians categorically that our party has never been part of any merger discussion in Nigeria and we started sounding this since last year. That position has not changed up till this moment. APGA will never merge with any political party. But we have continued to state that our party will be available for alliance discussion with other political parties at anytime it is necessary.
I, as a person, do not support merger with APC. Even, Governor Rochas Okorocha, who has been dragging APGA’s name in this direction, cannot pretend not to be aware that I advised severally and privately against it for over three months before he went to make a public statement on that.
The people have never doubted the potential of APGA, particularly in the core areas where the party has done very well in the past. Because I am the chairman, the people have been in touch with me all through the crisis and I know they have always been praying for me not to go down. Without sounding immodest, our people have come to appreciate seriously that my heart has been open particularly on issues that affect our people. I have never relented in speaking against injustice done to our people.
This have been appreciated by many people in Nigeria, who always encourage me, by talking to me and commending my effort in the things I am doing. So, the recent development in the party will lead to a resurgence of hope among our people that this party is still in a safe hand.
Let me say here that the support APGA has been receiving has not been attributed to the quality of candidates APGA has been fielding in elections. The support the party gets is because of the passion of the people who look up to this party as a saving platform for their political advancement.
The people of the southeast, who are in the majority in supporting APGA, have always seen APGA as an indispensable platform for their political emancipation. People who have succeeded on APGA platform, have erroneously claimed that they have won through their popularity. That is not so but it is because the people have been desperate to see this party grow to a point that they can use it to actualise their political desires in Nigeria. Now that the confusion to a large extent has been stemmed, by the Court of Appeal decision and the position taken by INEC to obey the court decision, and continue to relate with me as the national chairman of APGA, the spirit of our people who have always looked up to APGA has bounced back.
Ahead of the Anambra 2014 governorship elections, people may think that it will be a tough battle, but it won’t. What our people need is some leave of peace and assurance that if they put a candidate through this party, that candidate will be accepted by INEC, and that hurdle has been crossed now. We have enough time to rebuild this party. Even in Anambra State, where regrettably, the crisis in the party is being sponsored, APGA is still the dominant party in the state.
Without also being immodest, I have been the pivot of the party in Anambra State all these years. Those who have made effort to deny this fact, have been confronted by people. Our people have confidence in my leadership of this party. Those who have succeeded in APGA in Anambra State have succeeded because people have been following what I have been doing with passion.
That support base is still there. Since the news came out that INEC has reverted back to my leadership in APGA, there has been thunderous ovation in Anambra State and we can prepare to go to the election. All other issues that may pull challenges to the party, I can assure you that we will handle it.
Why would the Obi group challenge my recognition by INEC in court? What are they going to court to do? The only thing they have in court is the propaganda that they have gone to the Supreme Court to challenge the ruling of the Court of Appeal. Their sole ground of appeal at the Supreme Court was that their man was not served process of appeal before the motion for stay of execution of the High Court ruling was heard and ruling delivered there from.
That is the only thing they can say to the public that is not aware of the fact that the court is guided by the facts before it. The bailiff of Court of Appeal Enugu division deposed to an affidavit of service on the respondent and it was in the court file and the justices of Court of Appeal that heard the matter, had to ask the court clerk to announce whether there was proof of service and the clerk announced that the respondent was served and his counsel was also served.
The same counsel returned the process served him, including the hearing notice to the registrar of the Court of Appeal, claiming that he was no longer the lawyer to the respondent. When the Court of Appeal delivered its ruling, the same counsel returned to file a notice of appeal on behalf of the respondent. These are things that have been transmitted to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court will be bound by the record of the court. They have nothing to convince the Supreme Court that there was no fair hearing given to them. Rather, their evil plot to frustrate the hearing of the motion caught with them.
Every organisation requires peace to function. So, APGA is yearning for peace. It is absurd that it is now said that I am pitted against Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, where in fact, anybody who is objective will agree that I gave Peter Obi his political life.
I fought his opponents, both the PDP very viciously along with my colleagues in APGA and established him two times as governor of Anambra State. For him now, at the twilight of his tenure, to begin to claim that I am not a good man, he is not saying the truth, and the people have seen through his deceit. Peter Obi engineered the crisis in APGA for selfish reasons, not that I am incompetent as he and his uncle Nwobu-Alor claim.
They have tried my incompetence in this struggle and saw that I am not incompetent, because if I am incompetent, they would have swept me away. But it has not been easy for them. That was the resilience that I brought to bear in his political pursuit and he succeeded and instead of allowing the party to prepare for his successor, he decided to put his successor on his own.
Yet, we were the people that put him in the first and second time. He now grew above the party because he is controlling money belonging to Anambra State, and with that money, he decided to play Herod. All the things that we fought against that people placed in his way, he is now unleashing same on the party and myself and that is why God is intervening on this matter. God's time, divine hand is in this matter all the way.
On October 8, 2012, the Chief Judge of Enugu State granted an interlocutory injunction against me, restraining me from parading myself as the national chairman of APGA. That order subsisted. On February 8, 2013, the same chief judge of Enugu State, delivered his judgment and sacked me as the national chairman of APGA, and also sacked 28 other members of APGA NWC, along with me. I filed an appeal, and also filed a stay of execution of the order and judgment.
The Court of Appeal in Enugu on April 8 delivered its ruling and stayed his judgment and reinstated me as the national chairman of APGA. I wrote INEC on the April 15, 2012. INEC, after taken its time, on May 8 2013, wrote me informing me that they are now obeying the order made by the Court of Appeal and would continue to relate with me as the national chairman of APGA. Why is the number 8 persistent in all these journey? It is God that using the number 8 to show people pursuing me that their hands are dirty and mine is clean. That is why God is using the number 8 consistently to tell them that they are fighting Him and not Victor Umeh.
Otherwise, how are these things happening on day 8 of any month? There will be a decision. October 8, February 8, April 8 and May 8. It is a divine order and I want to use that to give Obi and his people notice that they should stop fighting God.
APGA needs peace and the only one who can give APGA peace is Peter Obi. He should leave APGA alone. We have done everything for him; he didn't reciprocate the gestures the party extended to him.
Peter Obi did not empower any APGA member, not one person and that is why the entire party is solidly behind me. All the issues that led to disagreement between me and him, were issues that were to affect the fortunes of ordinary man and not Victor Umeh. I asked him to conduct local government election so that party members can become councilors and chairmen of local governments; so they can get empowered and create a robust grassroots for the party. He refused to do it.
Instead, he started fighting me for the selfish reasons that he wants to use local government money and state money together disbursing from his desk unchallenged and he has done that for seven years now. It is not small money. For local government alone, he has spent over N300b from his desk without budgeting. He is a sole administrator and Mr. Know all. He doesn't listen to anybody. And I said; this your attitude has impoverished the party and its members and stifled democracy at the grassroots and bred corruption in the local government system.
That is why they are fighting me, and started telling story of how they were giving me billions of Naira to grow the party and I squandered it. They took me to EFCC that I embezzled N2.6b. I went to EFCC and EFCC cleared me. It was unnecessary mischief that Obi introduced and tried to destroy the party. He didn't need to go through that route at all. It was absolutely unnecessary. I was always there for him and his government, and was always also there for my party members.
There is nothing that will stop peace from returning to the party. It is for Obi to shield his blunt sword. He has a blunt sword. Otherwise, he would have cut me off since the last three years he has wanted to decapitate me. He should allow divine will to prevail. Obi should allow the party breathing space to prepare for election to find a successor so that APGA will continue after him in Anambra State. That is the only sacrifice he will make. No matter what his ego is, he should allow the party to function. If Obi allows APGA, whether he supports the party or not, we are going to win the election in Anambra because the support base of the party in Anambra State is till there.
Obi is not the sole financier of APGA. He came from the blues, sermonising like a saint. I took him and put him on that support base of APGA. He was alien to the support base of APGA in Anambra State. I was in charge of that support base. I was the one that lubricated it for Obi to tap from, and that trust they have in me is still there. The people of Anambra State are still ready to support APGA.
If you go to Anambra today, you will see that Obi is a man alone. All the strata of the state have risen against him. Everybody in Anambra is against him; members of Anambra State House of Assembly are against him, the presidents of town unions, the traditional rulers in the state and all stakeholders in the state are against him.
There must be something obnoxious in him that is repelling people from him, and that I know is that the people have seen through him that he deceived them; he came with a claim to holiness that he will make the state a better place; he condemned politicians in the state without restraint. Today, all the things he accused politicians in the state of doing, he has done all times two. The people saw through that he is fake and that is why they have risen against him and he cannot give them anybody to follow and they follow the person. It is an impossible mission for him.
