In My  opinion: "Obi committed a crime and rigged the election against the poor people and brought his man, Obiano. For eight years, there were no longer local government elections in Anambra, now he brought Obiano, his treasurer to take over from him. Now, Obiano will spend eight years and bring somebody, then we are in trouble.......Chief Arthur Eze

Peter Obi The Man who came to Power on the sympathy of being rigged against has now perfected the art of rigging perpetrated in a remorseless and ruthless manner.......Liliacfire2013

A stalwart of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Arthur Eze on Thursday accused, Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, of rigging the just held gubernatorial election.
He also accused Obi of poor infrastructural development of the state, said the people will resist all his plans to rule the state.
Fielding questions from journalists at the State House Abuja, the multi-billionaire business mogul also said the current battle to save Anambra State is to check the problems of under development and criminal activities in the state
Eze, who is the main supporter of Tony Nwoy, the PDP's candidate for the Anambra gubernatorial election, further blamed the outgoing Anambra governor for the current crises facing the conduct of the election
"It's for the poor that we are fighting, it is not for me, but for the needy and the orphan. Not for me, I am an old man, I am going. It's because of the poor that I am crying.
“There is too much poverty in the country, and I have dedicated myself to helping the poor for the past 10 or more years. That is why I brought out Tony Nwoye from the North, the poorest zone in the state to become the Governor," he said.
In his opinion: "Obi committed a crime and rigged the election against the poor people and brought his man, Obiano. For eight years, there were no longer local government elections in Anambra, now he brought Obiano, his treasurer to take over from him. Now, Obiano will spend eight years and bring somebody, then we are in trouble.
"Jega is very emotional, he is a very straightforward human being. He said this election was an act of sabotage. He was frank and God will advise him on what to do."
He therefore urged the people of Anambra to pray for the salvation of the state to avoid the spate of social crises which the state witnessed in the last eight years.
"Go and pray. What is going to happen in Anambra will happen in so many places. Pray for yourselves, not for us, we are gone, we are aged."
Responding to questions on what the current electoral challenge indicates for 2015, Eze said "I don't want criminals to take over in 2015,  that is why I am crying".

  1. ANAMBRA POLLS: INEC MEETS NGIGE, UBAH, NWOYE TO SEEK WAY FORWARD

    From Chuks Collins, Awka
    Nov 21, 2013

Sequel to last weekend's stalemated governorship election in Anambra state, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) yesterday in Abuja held a closed door meeting with the principal characters in the election.

The meeting which took off in the early afternoon saw the governorship candidates of the various political parties, especially Dr Ifeanyi Ubah of the Labour Party(LP), Senator Chris Ngige of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Comrade Tony Nwoye of the People's Democratic Party(PDP) and Dr Willie Obianor of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), amongst others brainstormed with the egg heads of the electoral commission.

Also in attendance were the leaders of the relevant political parties and other stakeholders, apparently to fashion out a way forward and out of the imbroglio that has made the Nov 16 election inconclusive.

A chieftain of the PDP , Chief Chike Nwanguma who confirmed the meeting to journalists in a telephone interview monitored in Awka yesterday said that it became necessary because of the confusing and opposing stance of the key players in the stalemated election.

He said he was worried about the multiplicity of views from top members of his party, who he accused of having turned their positions to stock market of sorts. Persons who have contributed little or nothing to the growth or fortunes of the party at whatever level.

He believed that a larger section of the state's electorate were disenfranchised last Saturday because INEC and their computer data base bungled the voters register of the state.

Nwanguma wondered why Prof Attahiruh Jega muddled up the voters register and dumped it on the laps of the parties, giving room for the governorship election to be discredited beyond measure. He however urged the citizens of the state to maintain their level headed disposition always.
