The INEC election in Anambra was a disgrace and the results must be cancelled and a new election held. Let me start by saying that APGA will likely win any new election because the sentiments against APC are so strong that Ngige does not have a chance. However, because APGA will likely win a new election does not mean we should accept the sham called election that was held on November 16, 2013.
It’s undisputed that a vast majority of Ndi Anambra were disenfranchised either because their names did not appear on the voter register, there were not enough people to man the polling booths, the election materials did not arrive on time, or good all fashion fraud and intimidation. This fiasco has led me to believe that INEc Chairman Jega is incompetent and must go.
A supplemental election will not be as good as a new election. Because APGA is leading, non APGA voters are likely not to show up in a supplemental election than in a new election. We should all speak up because what happens with these elections affect our future.
